4th Spell - [Video, Spam]

[In her room, Luna has stacked up all her furniture in the middle of the room in order to reach the ceiling. She lies on her back on a desk that's tilted precariously on a chair, a globe, three books, and a coat rack. Somehow it all manages to stay upright.

Paint drips into her hair as she paints her ceiling. Faces of people on the Barge are recognizable - people she's met and interacted with, Iris, Bush, Steve, Facilier, MewTwo, and others.

She's not a bad artist, really. It's a lot more fun than the art room, where they expect you not to paint on the walls]

I prefer it quiet too. I do my best thinking then.

Was it quiet when you thought climbing on top an unbalanced pile of furniture was a good way to reach your ceiling?

Well, I needed to reach the ceiling in order to paint. This seemed like the best way to do it.

I didn't fall.

Not falling isn't the point. You could break your neck doing something like that. Ask for a ladder, or a scaffold.

[Luna pauses, where she's already sitting atop her assembled perch]

...Now?

Preferably once you've safely put your feet on the ground. Can you even do that without that mess toppling over on top of you?

[Her tone says she doesn't think so. That pile is a hazard.]

Yes. I think so. Unless my magic fails, but it hasn't really in this capacity.

But I'm up here already, so wouldn't it be more fitting to finish up here first before coming down? That way I'll minimize the amount of time I'm climbing up or down, which is probably the most dangerous time to be up high.

...And do you have a ladder I could borrow?

No, i don't have a ladder. Maintenance likely does.

[Good thing Sylvanas is dead, or she might have an aneurysm from this girl's really backwards logic when it comes to safety.]

And it would not be more fitting. If you move your arm too far one direction, you could unbalance that whole death trap you've assembled. Climbing is perfectly safe when what you're climbing on is actually sturdy and meant to be climbed on.

If I built it to be climbed on, surely it's meant to be climbed on?

But if it'll make you happy, I'll come down now.

Piling things atop one another is not 'building', and yes, it would make me happy if you came down. If you can do it safely. Do you need assistance?

It did seem a lot easier getting up than coming down.

[The door being open, and Luna sitting up on her pile of junk, peering over the edge curiously]

I'll be there in a moment.

[It's not hard, seeing as Luna is on a lower level. Sylvanas just vaults over the railings on the stairs. It's much faster than actually walking them. ~~No it is not hypocritical. She's a professional. Luna is attempting an amateur circus act with no training.~~ And she is indeed walking into Luna's room in less than two minutes.

It's worse seeing the construction up close, especially with Luna peeking over the edge like that. The frown on Sylvanas's face is so stern. She reaches up a hand to steady the junk pile.]

Light's sake, girl, what were you thinking?

[There's a bright, if cheerfully obvious smile back to Sylvanas as she arrives. Luna sits back away from the edge while still being able to see her]

Mostly it was "How will I reach the ceiling in order to paint it?".

I would get down myself, except I'm not really an expert on levitating myself. Other things, yes, but doing it to yourself is a little more difficult. It's like trying to see inside a mirror.

Can I have your hand, please?

[Sylvanas offers her other hand, and as soon as it's taken, she guides Luna off the desk and into a sort of half-hug, taking all of the girl's weight. She makes sure the pile doesn't sway towards them, before setting Luna on her feet.]

While I applaud out of the box thinking, this is not a proper solution. You put yourself in danger for the sake of a past-time. You could have been hurt or worse. The death toll is not a safety net, young lady.

[Luna stretches her hand down to reach Sylvanas, and is plucked easily from her high perch with a slight noise of surprise. She lands safely in Sylvanas' arm, and at last her feet touch the ground. She looks pretty pleased at that]

Oh, I see.

Well, thank you, Sylvanas. I'll be more careful next time, I promise.

..But you have to admit, it did stay solid until the very end.

[Sylvanas is certainly not pleased, but Luna somehow makes it very difficult to be more than sternly disappointed.]

I'll admit you were lucky. But luck is not something to depend on. There's plenty of danger around here without making more for yourself needlessly.

Yes, but you forget the danger of what would happen if I left a blank ceiling in my room.

Oh, I can't wait to hear this. What danger would that be?

I don't know specifically. But I think it would be very dangerous in general to have paints and a blank surface and not put both to use. Entropy, you see. I could be inviting curses.

Curses. [Wow, Luna. Just...wow.]

There's plenty of people here living with blank ceilings that have yet to incur any kind of curse. And even if that were a possibility, you could have taken a few extra minutes to get a safe means of reaching your ceiling, seeing as you've gone this long without incident.

Well, most of them aren't witches. I've got to be extra careful.
