Hello, everyone.

I've never been on a ship like this before. Or any ship, really, so I can't say for certain whether the person in charge is always so elusive when it comes to answering questions. I suspect he thinks it's all in good fun, making you believe one thing but telling you another. I don't think I understand his humor, though.

I'm a little concerned about having made a deal with him - he could be one of the Rotfang conspirators in disguise and is set on prolonging this journey indefinitely until all our worlds are nothing but dust and spores.

Is that why all of you are having such strange dreams?

Either way, I hope there's pudding involved. It makes death seem just a little bit cheerier. I think that's why people eat so much at funerals.

Ghosts must get very jealous during mealtimes.

Rehabilitation's a bit tricky. You can change anything you like in the world with a spell, except someone's heart.

Quite a lot of magic, actually. I've just completed my fifth year of schooling at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Do you know it? It's quite famous.

Exactly. And what's to say your idea of rehabilitation is the same as someone else's? It's all very messy, people's hearts.

There are a few around the world. I think Hogwarts is the best one, but that could just be personal bias.

I hope so. It's very important I do a good job. Not just for me: bringing people back from the dead is always a delicate operation. You need to do it just right.

I do hope so. It's all a bit fascinating, really: the dead coming back to life. It's not usually something they like to do.

With ghosts, mainly. Some are very talkative; others not so much. I suppose they're like people, in that way.
